But Nicole is pursued by the criminal that she is investigating A bounty hunter learns that his next target is his ex-wife, a reporter working on a murder cover-up. Soon after their reunion, the always-at-odds duo find themselves on a run-for-their-lives adventure. from the start this movie is one big stupid plot,

OK first thing is $50,000 for bail on an assault charge against a police officer, even for New York that is excessive.

but i tried to remind myself this is just a movie- and later on in the story she actually explains herself and what the assault charge was. she brushed up against a police horse with her car. that sounds like a moving violation. even if she was driving like a mad woman in the city, she would get at the most a reckless driving. the writers did a poor job in laying out the plot on that issue-

well on to the next thing hmm a visit to the track–

one of my old stomping grounds, and me being a jersey guy i know the layout of the state.

after he picks her up at Monmouth park, he locks her in the trunk and at this point he is determined to bring her in– so instead of heading back to New York, he decides to go to Atlantic city at least an hour and a half south of New York. at that point i was lost- why go to Atlantic city before bringing her in? the story lost me on that.

knowing their travels and what they were doing lost me. even a comedy has to have a plot that is believable.

so i just didn't buy it. the only reason I went to this movie was i knew it was shot in Jersey, and I'm a fan of movies filmed in my home state. but those flaws i've seen are enough for me to give this movie a 2-

Jennifer Aniston is not a great actress, this movie sums up the reality of her career, and that would make her in real life a 2- and not even close to a 10- but i think Hollywood just wanted to push a product.

she would of had to make me laugh, but the whole movie, and her being the star- failed–

thank you for reading my review, i hope you all wait for this to come on cable- First, let me say that I am one of Gerard Butler's true and loyal fans. He's smart, good-looking and very talented. He can play Beowulf, Dracula, the Phantom, and a Spartan king. He can sing rock and opera, dance, seduce, and slaughter with finesse. But, lordy, lordy, why does he keep doing these romantic comedy things? Secondly, let me say that I'm just okay when it comes to Jennifer Aniston. She's just okay. Last Friday afternoon I paid the $9.50 to sit in my neighborhood theater and watch The Bounty Hunter. Positive comments first: Gerry looked and acted like a regular guy, and he really ate the food in the eating scenes. I liked this. (These directors who think we don't catch on to the fact that actors usually just move the food around on their plates really underestimate us. I hope he didn't use a spit bucket, either.) Although it seemed like Gerry was playing the straight man in most of the scenes, I liked his laughter and his energy. As leading man he really had the heavy work of holding up the film. My favorite bits were those where he was serious and possibly falling again for his ex-wife. He was very believable in those moments, and quite romantic. I also enjoyed the supporting characters, especially Sioban Fallon's Theresa. What a kick! And Jeff Garlin's Sid was fun, too.

Other comments: I've seen enough of Jennifer Aniston running for her life in a pencil skirt, high heels and a tank top to last me a lifetime. Enough already. She's famous. She's eye candy. But her acting in this was nothing new … just okay.

Of course, with two big stars like Jennifer and Gerry, this film was well-advertised, and I suppose the general public will flock to see it. So far they seem enjoy itpart of the normal romantic comedy diet they are used to. But there is very little in this effort to give it a life of its own beyond the month of April. Come on, Gerry. We need to see you lift something heavier than Jennifer. I for one am waiting to see how Coriolanus turns out. I'm keeping the faith. Inexplicably, Butler continues to get work in romantic comedies despite his limited range and boorish persona.
